Good router - range just OK I upgraded from a Linksys wireless G router from 5 years ago given we have a home with 3 floors and limited reception in some areas. Good things about this device: affordable, especially if you buy refurbished. Dual band is nice - but you must know how to configure it right. Go for wireless N only, WPA2 on the 5GHz range and Mixed on wireless G for the 2.4GHz range. Name the 2 networks differently so you know how to recognize them. Range is SLIGHTLY better than previous wireless G, perhaps identical. Wireless N is supposed to be and advertised as much higher range, I would have liked to see this on an "advanced" dual band with 4 antennas. 3/3/12

Great router I'm not sure why all the criticism, I love this router! It’s been in place for some time now and not a single issue, works great. 2/22/12

E2500 Quality of Service (QOS) The performance, price and ease is great but it is unfortunate the Quality of service (Qos) feature is completely buggy. The Qos allows bandwidth prioritization for specific applications such as web browsers and games. When trying to add more then 2 entrys an error occours, "Port overlap occurred! Please change your entry!" Now I did need a new router reguardless but sense this is the more advanced router in it's series I expected the advanced feature to work (Qos) 2/10/12

Room for improvement i purchased this with the idea of upgrading from a netgear router and was dissapointed! according to the write up from multiple sources this is supposed to reach everwhere in my home. It does not. I set it up in the middle of my house and it will not even register on my tv as a signal. (my tv is only 40ft away)the signal strength drops severely just by going down my staircase.(the other side of the wall.) Speed doesn't seem to be a problem and in the future Linksys could make this bridgeable. Thats the only reason this gets more than one star. all in all this wound up being a downgrade. most unfortunate. i expected better. 2/6/12

Adrian Hey whazzup i were buying the e2500 in germany . The quality is perfect and im really happy that i can use my full bandwith 32.000 without to loose my bandwith im very happy and ciscos product are the best and not expansive and easy to use . Never i will buy another product first its too expansive and cant give better performance then cisco . Thank you very much for the fast router 1/27/12

Two Routers - Same Problem Setup was fast and easy. My issue is that the internet connection keeps dropping. I replaced the first router, because it totally lost the connection and tech support could not resolve the issue. My second unit has the same issue, only this time it's intermittent. 1/6/12

Great Router, But Constant Marketing Harassment-Update This is an update to my review of 12/18/2011. I have since found out that the Linksys software no longer utilizes Network Magic software, nor are there any pop-up messages. I therefore purchased this router. The Cisco Connect software does not, in fact, utilize marketing pop-ups. Further, the software makes it a breeze to setup the router and results in a solid, stable configuration with good security. If you are like me, and choose to tweak the router's advanced settings, the Web interface now works flawlessly. I have a 50 Mb/s connection when I am hardwired to my cable modem. I get 32 Mb/s wirelessly through the router, which is quite good considering the other wireless networks in my neighborhood that I must share the frequencies with and the walls between the router and my laptop. 1/6/12

i no longer swear or pound my keyboard. thanks e2500! My expletives have decreased 100 percent since replacing my e1200 with the e2500. The difference is night and day. The speed improvements were immediately noticed. We run two wi-fi laptops and stream to a Sony Bravia, as well as Droid phones, and use DLNA to stream music. Connectivity is a solid five bars at all times, browsing is lickety split, and the TV networking is as good as a wired connection. I bought mine refurbished from the Cisco online store for a mere $44. Absolutely no regrets. 1/2/12
